There will be a $30 observer fee if you want to stay during the day to watch your dancer take convention classes. We will have teachers onsite at all times so this is completely optional. It is free for all to watch the Saturday Competition and Sunday Showcase. On Sunday, parents need to arrive for pick-up no later than 1:45 pm. We recommend arriving in time for the showcase at 1:15 pm – your dancer may be invited to perform and this is when recognitions and scholarships will be awarded for the weekend. Saturday evening’s competition will be live-streamed at www.fluiddance.com.

The convention and competition schedules can be found at: http://www.fluiddance.com/jacksonville. If your dancer needs help with hair or make-up, please arrive one hour before they are scheduled to perform.

Please note – all dancer’s cell phones will be collected during convention classes (returned during lunch and after convention only). We have noticed a growing issue with distracted dancers at conventions over the last few years. This is very disrespectful to the convention instructors (which are usually the competition judges too!). Dancers may wear their favorite dance outfit with tights and hair in a professional bun. If your dancer will be wearing a midriff top, a cover-up is to be worn at any time they are not taking class.

Parents are responsible for their children between their last dance and the award ceremony. Please pick your child up or arrange for another parent to keep an eye on them. Dancers should not be walking around the venue alone. This is a public convention center and is not safe for children.

Parents are responsible for getting their dancers to the venue at the following times:
7:30 am on Saturday
8 am on Sunday
Dancers may not leave between convention ending on Saturday and when they compete. Parents – please make dinner arrangements (pack in advance or bring to the venue).

As a reminder, all dancers must stay through awards for their team. This is NOT optional. Please use the same checklist from last competition. DO NOT BE LATE! Your team is counting on you.
